You know the kind of store that takes your money and doesn't give you what you want? We're not running that kind of store. Any problem you have with your order will be dealt with quickly and honestly by human beings.

We Give

Every time you buy a book from our site, Planet Saturday®Comics will donate $1 towards health care for uninsured children. Our donations go to Metro Family Practice, Inc., a non-profit health care provider in Wilkinsburg, PA, where Kelli volunteers as a board member. Metro provides first class health care to patients regardless of their ability to pay. It's one of those "makes the world a better place" places--and that's our mission too. So buy some books and help kids in need!

We Recycle

Man, you should see our kitchen... we got more recycling containers than cabinets! Our goal is to use 100% recyclable materials to ship your order. Expect to see your package arrive either in a sturdy cardboard mailer made from 90% recycled paper, a Priority Mail envelope (made from recycled paper) or a good old fashioned cardboard box.

Shipping Times

We aim to ship your order within 24 hours.

Estimated shipping times (based on the USPS website, and on conversations with the friendly people at our local post office) are as follows:

US: 2-10 business days
Canada: 5-10 days
International: 6-10 days

Shipping Methods

All items are shipped via the United States Postal Service. Books by themselves are shipped Media Mail to the US, First Class to Canada, Priority Mail with tracking to all other International addresses. Postcards and/or magnets by themselves alone are shipped First Class to all destinations. Books combined with other items are shipped first class to the US and Canada, Priority Mail with tracking to all other destinations.

Shipping is calculated at check out, and rates are based on the amount of your order.

US + Canada rates are as follows:

$0.01 to $8.00= $1.00 shipping
$8.01 to $12.00= $1.50 shipping
$12.01 to $25.00= $3.00 shipping
$25.01 to $39.00= $5.00 shipping
$39.01 and up=$10.00

International rates are as follows:

$0.01 to $4.00= $1.00 shipping
$4.01 to $8.00= $2.00 shipping
$8.01 to $12.00= $3.00 shipping
$12.01 to $50.00= $12.00 shipping
$50.01 and up=$38.95*

*Please email us before placing US + Canada orders above $39, and International orders above $50. Shipping costs for these orders may be higher than PayPal's calculator will show; if we can find a cheaper way to ship them, we'll refund the difference.

Online Payment

We accept PayPal and credit card payments. (PayPal processes our credit card orders, but you don't need a PayPal account to pay by credit card.) You'll get a confirmation email from us when your order has shipped.

Check and Money Order Payment

If you prefer to order offline, email us at customerservice(at)planetsaturday(dot)com and we'll help you do that.

If you want to fly solo, we recommend clicking the "Add to Cart" buttons as if you were ordering online. When all the items you want are in your cart, click "Proceed to Checkout." Enter your zipcode or country and click "Update" to get your final shipping total. Then, instead of checking out through PayPal, print the "Your Shopping Cart" page and send it (together with your shipping address, email address, and a check or money order) to:

Please make your check or money order, in US funds, payable to Planet Saturday, LLC. We'll ship your order when your check clears. You'll receive a confirmation email from us when we receive your payment, and another one when your order has shipped.

Sales Tax

Pennsylvania residents will be charged 7% sales tax on the final total. (Total = order price + shipping.) Why do we charge 7% instead of the 6% PA sales tax rate? Allegheny County (where most of our PA sales occur) adds 1%. Philadelphia County adds 2%. Making multiple buttons for paying 6%, 7% and 8% tax depending on what PA county a customer is in would be impractical in our tiny store, so we settled on 7%.

Returns and Exchanges

Items may be returned within 30 days of purchase. If you'd like to return an item, please email us at returns(at)planetsaturday(dot)com and let us know.

We'll pay for return shipping if the problem is on our end (that is, if you got a damaged book, or if we sent you the wrong thing). Otherwise we'll ask you to pay for shipping. When we receive the item we'll either refund your money or exchange the item, whichever you prefer. Returns should be in the original packaging or in comparable packaging, and in as-new condition (unless you received damaged goods).
